Island walking holidays
Day trips to the islands off the coast can be fun, although seas can sometimes be rough and the boats a bit irregular.
Of particular interest and charm are Inishboffin and Inishturk, each with small village communities and the all-important pub, sandy beaches and sense of going backwards in time. Clare Island, with its stunning lighthouse walk, is also a great place to visit.
Forget the commercialism of the Aran Isles and enjoy the beauty of these unspoilt gems before returning for a hearty dinner at Delphi.
